Do I need design skills?
No. Guided Mode asks you one thing at a time and handles the layout, fonts, and colours for you. You just answer questions in plain English.
Can I really do this on my phone?
Yes. cvitae is built mobile-first — every step, including adding a photo and picking a look, works on a phone screen. No laptop required.
What if I don't have work experience yet?
That's fine — the work experience and education steps are easy to skip, and your score still gives you credit for what you do have (summary, skills, contact details). Most first CVs are short, and that's normal.
Is it actually free?
Yes. Building your CV, using free templates, hosting a shareable link, and exporting a PDF (with a small watermark) costs nothing and needs no card. Pro is optional, for later.
What if I get stuck partway through?
Nothing is lost — close the tab and come back any time, and you'll pick up exactly where you left off. There's also a progress list so you can jump back to any step.
Can I switch to more control later?
Any time, with one tap. Guided Mode and Advanced Mode edit the same CV, so switching never loses anything you've already added.
Is my information safe if I share my CV publicly?
Your phone number and email stay hidden by default. With Contact-Reveal, recruiters request access and you approve each one before they see anything.
